Huh.

My friend Walter passed on this bit of info. Interesting... but not interesting enough to get me out of bed at 1 am. (Unlike that time in college when everyone was freaking out about Nostradamous' prediction that the world was going to end and my roommate put on a crash helmet and stood in the middle of the parking lot.)

Anyhow -

On Wednesday of this week, at two minutes and three seconds after 1:00 in the morning, the time and date will be 01:02:03 04/05/06.

That won't ever happen again.

Or will it?

I saw that yesterday, too, and was gonna post about it today. Damn you, Ali, for beating me to yet another piece of interesting but useless trivia!!!

Hey, it happens every century. In 1906, it would have been written 01:02:03 04/05/06. In 2106 it will again be 01:02:03 04/05/06.

And all that, of course, is provided you've got some kind of weird obsessive-compulsive disorder that makes you include the "0" at the beginning of almost every number but leave off the "20" at the beginning of the year. And 1:02:03 4/5/06 or 01:02:03 04/05/2006 don't have the same zip, do they?

Face it, your April 5th is going to be another goddamn Wednesday with nothing really special about it.

Except that it's hump day and everybody should be humpin'.

Also - as my co-worker just pointed out, you don't have to get up early - you can just enjoy it at 1 in the afternoon today.
